I once had to contact the electric company about why I didn’t get a bill, only a reminder. They told me that they had switched to billing through email. When I asked which email they had sent it to, they told me they didn’t have an email for our account. So I actually had to ask them how they had expected me to receive it then?

I had them cancel my whole family’s insurance because my wife had a baby and they didn’t get verification from the hospital that the baby was in fact real. So they decided that all of us stopped existing.
Found this out when one of my kids ran into a wall and needed stitches. Well, I found out when I got the bill. I went to the insurance and got it fixed, then told the hospital to resubmit it so they would get paid. Which they decided to forget to do that, wait until it was too late to get paid by the insurance, and put me in collections instead. I got hounded by them for years. Every time it came around I was able to prove it was their own fault. Eventually the collections agencies refused to take it from the hospital anymore. Because they keep better records and do their jobs better than insurance companies.
