Rattlesnakes are nothing to touch but also nothing to fear, they just want to go on their happy way and eat ground-squirrels and avoid the Kingsnakes. Most Rattlesnake bites to humans involve stupidity, often alcohol induced.
In this case, I think the rattlesnake just wanted to enjoy the view 😉
