I’ve heard tales of Switzerland’s neutrality.
This is significant. So much oligarch and Putin wealth is being shielded by the government of these protesters.
The emerging generation of Switzerland wants a different identity for their country.
Swiss neutrality is total BS. It means they have no principles and will launder money for anyone around the world. Switzerland is evil.
First of all, as a Swiss citizen, I don’t want to defend my country’s politics here because I don’t always agree with them. I just want to post some facts. First, Switzerland simply can’t stop being neutral, because “being neutral as a country” is enshrined in our constitution. Second, the people and the government know that we have a problem with money laundering and our banks. See the latest “Suisse Secrets” regarding the “credit suisse” bank. The sanctions against Russia and Putin and his followers are so soft because switzerland wants to take the role as an neutral negotiator if ukraine and russia are willing to speak with eachother. This doesnt work particularly well if you’ve already taken a side. Regarding the sanctions the most of the swiss politicans support harder and stricter sanctions. Only the biggest party doesn’t support this because they are some conservative bitches. We will see in the following days what the swiss politics decide regarding the sanctions.

Reminds me of the one about the kid going to his first day of school. He’s looking a little worried so his dad asks him what’s up.
“How long will I have to go to school for?”
“Until you’re 18.”
The kid nods and thinks about this quietly.
When they get to the school gates the kid says “Dad, you will remember to come and get me when I’m 18, won’t you?”

This is actually heartwarming.
This hits me in the feels but for slightly different reasons. My daughter was less than a year old when we went into “quarantine for a few months”.
While working from home over these last 18 months, I got to watch her take her first steps, say her first real words, count, (try to) color inside the lines… So many firsts I wouldn’t have been able to see if I was spending 8 hours a day at the office plus an hour commuting.
The thought of having to leave this and go back to *an office* is very depressing.
