This happened to me a few months back. Middle of the night, quiet part of town. I was on my way home when a car drove past me, turned around, and started to slowly drive next to me. I did the same hiding manoeuvre as the girl in the video. Luckily, there were two larger vans conveniently parked behind each other, so I had a lot of cover. This went on for a while until the car drove off, so I kept on walking home – only that they didn’t actually leave but pulled into the driveway of one of the houses by the road to check the sidewalk (and behind the vans obviously). So, I started running and went up a small path that ran between two other houses. I ended up by the main road, went into the next gas station, and waited a good 20min before resuming my walk back home.
Creepy as hell.
I actually did this to avoid my parents when I was a kid.
There is this little girl in my neighborhood who makes the absolute *worst* tasting lemonade I’ve ever had in my life, though she does give generous portions. I feel obligated to stop every time she makes eye contact, so I guess she knows a sucker when she sees one. LOL

Someone did this for me. I grew up in Houston and sold construction paper fans that I decorated. I actually had a few sales, but what stood out is the guy that walked up and said he had to have one and then handed me a $20. I was trying to make his change and he said keep it because it was worth at least $20. I smiled so much my face hurt. Little acts like this can become core memories for kids 🥰

I’m a physics student. This is simply one more piece of evidence that agrees with our models of the solar system.
It is, however, impossible to argue against a flat earther using this because even they don’t know wtf is going on in their model.

That’s extremely cool – the shadow of an analemma – and I love that someone put this together.
But the headline is a bit silly; the video doesn’t prove the Earth isn’t flat. It just shows the the Sun’s orbit around the Earth isn’t perfectly circular–or maybe that the flat Earth wobbles a bit. Someone willfully embracing a stupid idea isn’t going to abandon it because of some elegant geometry.

My best friend died at 24 years old. She was an only child. She was able to save 8 lives with her organs and I truly think that’s what kept her parents going after her death. So bittersweet. I’ve been an organ donor forever, but especially so after her death.
